Poughkeepsie, NY-March 19, 2026—The Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse (CPCA) of the Mid-Hudson Valley has appointed Jessica Ferrantino to the role of Executive Director. Ferrantino, who has served the organization in various roles since 2022, stepped into the role of Interim Co-Executive Director back in May. In her previous roles, Ferrantino worked as a Family Advocate, a Childhood Advocacy Center Program Assistant, Coordinator and, eventually, a Supportive Parenting Program Administrator.
“After a lengthy and extensive, state-wide search, we found the best person for the job right in our midst,” says CPCA board chair Jennifer Gardiner. “Jessica not only possesses invaluable experience, advocating for the most vulnerable children in our community but has also proven over the years that she exhibits the leadership skills necessary to lead the organization into a promising future.”
Ferrantino’s journey with the CPCA began while she was a college intern at Western Connecticut State University. She is expected to receive her Master of Public Administration degree from Marist University this summer.
“I am deeply honored to step into the role of Executive Director at the CPCA, an organization that has shaped my professional values and strengthened my commitment to protecting children and supporting families,” says Ferrantino. “I am inspired by the dedication and resilience of our incredible team, and I am energized to work alongside them, our board and our community partners in order to build on CPCA’s strong foundation and continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families across our community.”
The Mid-Hudson Bridge will be lit in blue on April 15 in observance of April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This display will pave the way for the organization’s appeal to the public in supporting CPCA’s upcoming annual Gala on May 28 at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie. The event will be the ideal opportunity to see Jessica Ferrantino in her new role.
