Marco D. Ingoglia Named Executive Director

(POUGHKEEPSIE, NY) – Following a widespread, months-long search, Marco D. Ingoglia has been recently appointed as the executive director for the Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse (CPCA). Ingoglia began the transition into the role as of June 5 with support from Interim Executive Director, Rachel Johnson, and the CPCA Board of Directors.

“Executive transitions are never easy, but they are an opportunity for an organization to reassess its needs and identify the right candidate to move the agency forward,” stated incoming board chair Renee Fillette, PhD. “The board of the CPCA led an extensive search yielding several strong candidates.  We are so pleased to have found someone with executive experience, strong business acumen, and a heart for this vital work we do. We are extremely delighted to welcome Marco to this position of leadership, and we look forward to the work we will do together.”

Ingoglia has over 15 years of senior leadership and extensive knowledge of nonprofit management. He brings to the CPCA a proven success history of overseeing programs within the prevention, rehabilitation, disability, healthcare, and behavioral health fields, as well as ensuring delivery of those programs are high quality and compliant. His leadership background also includes a comprehensive understanding of human resources, marketing, and quality improvement. Most recently, he served as the Chief Executive Officer at The Center for Independent Living of the Berkshires, a nonprofit that provides community-based services for people with disabilities.

“I am honored to join a wonderfully noble cause to further the mission of CPCA and its community members,” stated Ingoglia. “Our goal is to continue to be a resource to the children and families of the Hudson Valley, and in doing so provide the programmatic, quality, and financial sustainability to continue helping our community for generations to come.”

The CPCA has been led by Rachel Johnson since February of this year. Johnson will continue to play an integral role within the organization and looks forward to the vision and expertise Ingoglia brings.

“It’s been a privilege to lead the CPCA as interim executive director during the past four months,” stated Johnson. “Marco joins us during an exciting period of growth. I am delighted to be working closely with him to sustain and expand the CPCA’s crucial services to children and families.”
